Teaching Philosophy

Mr. Link believes in care and dedication as the core of the student teacher relationship. Frequent technical development is necessary, therefore scales, etudes, and studies are prescribed for the individual needs of each student. Each student is taught to maximize their own strengths, and treat weaknesses as a challenge to overcome.

Cello playing encourages daily discipline, musical imagination, and confident expression, therefore the standard of preparation expected for lessons is quite high. Students that have difficulties practicing will be assisted in finding effective technique for daily work.
